Greenhope: United in Sports Against Childhood Cancer
Greenhope is a charitable foundation that engages and raises awareness within the sports community in the fight against childhood cancer. Sports are an area where clear goals are set, whether they are competitive or recreational. The energy invested by athletes is substantial… what if it were used to achieve an even greater goal?
The Greenhope Project
Greenhope was founded with the aim of channeling the energy and passion of the sports world to raise funds and support research against childhood cancer. The objective is to ensure a serious and sustainable development of sports, allowing young athletes to grow in an environment sensitive to delicate and profound issues.
Activities
Greenhope supports two types of sports activities:
- Individual Athletes: Promotes young talents who act as ambassadors, inspiring other athletes.
- Teams: Supports selected youth sectors (children aged 6 to 12), creating synergies for communication and fundraising.
The Mission
Since its inception, Greenhope has actively collaborated in the fight against childhood cancer. It collaborates with organizations that share the same mission, such as Kinderkrebshilfe Schweiz and the Pediatric Hospital of Bellinzona, focusing on recreational activities that can offer moments of relaxation and joy to sick children.
How It Raises Funds
Greenhope funds itself through spontaneous donations, the sale of sports equipment in its online shop, and the organization of events. One example is the Greenhope Day.
The Sports Community on the Front Line
The sports community is invited to organize their own fundraising events. Over the years, numerous athletes of various levels have supported Greenhope's cause, including Lara Gut, Jarno Trulli, Beatrice Lundmark, and the Davos Hockey Club.
Join Greenhope
Greenhope represents a challenge for everyone: shifting attention from oneself to focus on those less fortunate. With everyone's support, it is possible to make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer, offering hope and support to young athletes and their families.
